2012: A Year in Review

Last year I posted something similar on Christmas Day. This year I am joining Brooke at Covered in Grace for a Year in Review linkup. Details on how to join in and the linkup are located at the bottom of the post! Before I get to that though, I hope you all had a great holiday season! I am a little behind on some of my posts and I am going to do a video post and holiday wrap up all in one later this week.

We rang in the New Year with a party and the Pinecone drop with two of our favorite people Nate and Jayde.
Most of January Ashley was busy in the kitchen with new recipes for jalapeƱo poppers, and some amazing cranberry chocolate cookies. Both have become standards throughout this year.
Lots of commuting for Berkeley and Ashley between both jobs, classes, and babysitting little Gretta!
We bid a fond farewell to someone Ashley considered to be a dear friend and coworker in February.
We took a break from everything and had a great date at Flagstaff BrewHaHa.
We celebrated Jayde's 21st birthday. it was a blast with memories we will never forget, especially when we got on the drunk bus to go home!
Leap Year day was celebrated with Tad's birthday and a Star Wars themed party.
March brought the start of Project Life!
Ashley chaperoned a sleepover party.
Spring break was spent in California. Berkeley got in trouble by dying a goat with the boys and Ashley went wedding dress shopping with the girls.
We jumped on the bandwagon, read all the Hunger Games books then saw the first film in theaters
Week in the life took place this April with lots of photo taking.
Fire season started.
There was a lot of time helping with decorations, craft nights, and crazy glass cutting.
We attended Tad and Gala's beautiful wedding!
Work really started taking an emotional toll on Ashley. The blog started to suffer and there was a lot of silence around here in May.
Berkeley was in a pretty crazy on the job accident the first day of June.
We celebrated 4 years of togetherness.
Ashley took a huge step and bet on a calculated risk.
Ties were severed with Michaels by the middle of July. One of the best decisions we've made. It was bittersweet though.
We extended the lease on our apartment at the edge of the woods.
Fire season picked up towards the halfway point.
Wedding planning picked up in August with only 3 months remaining to the big day.
Ashley went wedding dress shopping again and said yes to the dress!
Sammy turned 21!!
Lots of slumber parties with the Zambo girls.
In September, we welcomed a new life into our group of close family and friends.
Ashley turned 25 and spent the day mostly alone because Berkeley was in Idaho.
Ashley got quite burnt out on Fire Season.
Within two days of each other we both drove to California; Berkeley for fire and Ashley for family.
We both spent the end of September away from home.
October was a whirlwind of a month.
We ended up with some bittersweet moments.
In NovemberWe got married!!
Disneyland and California Adventure welcomed us between the wedding and Thanksgiving.
December was a great balance of both relaxation and excitement.
Plans changed and we celebrated Christmas in Flagstaff.
We are ending the year on such a positive and wonderful note. I am so excited to see where 2013 takes us!
