Our Disneyland Honeymoon {1}

We got to Anaheim on Friday afternoon and it was a drizzly gray day. Perfect park weather! We got to the park, traded our printouts for passes, and hit HollywoodLand in California Adventure for a showing of Aladdin! That night's showing was one of the best I have ever been to. The Genie was great and incorporated one liners that were based on Disney's recent (at the time) acquisition of LucasFilm. He even made a reference to Jafar being grumpy and tough because he is a Raider's fan.

The next stop was through A Bug's Life to get in on "It's Tough to be a Bug". Then onto CarsLand, a real life Radiator Springs! It is a new area in California Adventure and it is awesome! We got in line for Radiator Springs Racers. It is the newest ride there and very popular. So popular that the FastPass was all out by 11:30am most days. We were lucky to get on from the standby line in less than an hour. That was the fastest the line had gone through all weekend. We walked around the park for a little bit after this then headed over to Disneyland for an hour before the closing. The rain drove people away and we were able to get on Pirates of the Caribbean, Autopia, and Finding Nemo Submarine right away.

Saturday morning we got to Disneyland pretty early. We were planning on hitting the whole park that day making our way from AdventureLand back to Critter Country over to FrontierLand, through FantasyLand and ending in TomorrowLand. That plan was amended a little because of my foot being injured. We did Jungle Cruise, Pirates, Haunted Mansion, Big Thunder Railroad and Matterhorn before I needed to head back to the hotel room. We took a nap and hit the parks again.

Upon returning we toured the Boudin Factory, did the Toy Story carnival games, danced on Paradise Pier, rode Mulholland Madness which is now Goofy's Flight School and then got to ride the newish Ariel Undersea Adventure. We timed it perfectly as World of Color was showing and virtually all the lines were dead. We finished the night with Luigi's Flying Tires, Mater's Junkyard Jamboree, and Soarin' Over California. We Love CarsLand!

Tomorrow I will talk about days 3 and 4. If you are interested in our food choices while at the park, because this is a food blog, I posted about it here.
