Noshing on Nachos//Lumberyard Taproom Nachos

So far, out of all of the places in Flagstaff that we have had, The Lumberyard has offered the best nacho platter. I have written about The Lumberyard before. And I will probably post more about them in the future. They are a local brewery that offers a great twist on traditional American fare. They have a little bit of everything you could ever want.

One of those great things is their Nachos de los Taproom. These are in their "Starters" section on their menu but it is definitely a meal for two. On the menu they are described as:
"Crispy corn tortilla chips smothered in shredded Colby jack cheese, diced tomatoes, green onions, black olives, pickled jalapenos then garnished with fresh cilantro, sour cream and served with homemade salsa and guacamole on the side."
They should be described as perfectly smothered with all of the right ingredients!

The pile is loaded with all of the great toppings for a pile of nachos. They use real cheese. No runny neon orange cheesy fluid. The added seasoned shredded chicken was tender and flavorful. The chips were not too thick but held all of the toppings extremely well. Every chip had some kind of cheesy goodness with some of the other toppings on it. And none of the chips were ever soggy!
I could not imagine finding anything better than these. The hunt continues though! We are determined to find the best nachos in town. Next on our radar is Big Foot BBQ and Criollo Latin Kitchen. If you are wondering what those little fried things are in the first picture, keep an eye out because there will be a post about those bad boys too!
