Old Town Creperie has been sitting on my bucket list for quite some time now. And on a whim we ended up trying their crepes out! Throughout the summer and through the fall, there is a farmer's market Sunday mornings. Last summer we went almost every weekend. This summer not so much. We finally got there this past Sunday!
We hit up our usual juice stand and then strolled through the other vendors. We didn't see anything worth purchasing. The week's pickings were lackluster. As we were heading out we noticed that Old Town had a table set up for selling crepes. We caved!
Berkeley was craving something sweet. He went with Peanut Butter and Honey. They topped it with a dusting off powdered sugar. The crepe was so light and fluffy but also crispy on the outside. It was the perfect mixture of the two textures. The warmed crepe topped softened the peanut butter and honey so the flavors mixed and created something AMAZING!
I wanted something a little more substantial so I ordered eggs and cheese. Oh Man! I would eat this every morning if I could! They cooked the eggs on top of the crepe with the cheese. The outside was perfectly crisp and the inside had the heavenly fluff of soft eggs, gooey cheese and the lightness of the crepe. It was delightful. I can't wait for the chance to try their full menu, not just the offerings from a stand at the farmer's market!
