We are both in untested waters. All of our grandparents, aunts and uncles, and our parents had small, intimate weddings with no photographers or DJ's or any of the popular money pits you see at current weddings. Our parents were married on St. Patrick's day in a small chapel in Lake Tahoe, Ca. As were various other older family members (in Tahoe, not on St Patty's). Heck, our dad's parents got married in a drive thru in Reno! We have no idea what a normal, real-world wedding is truly like. Therefore, we are stuck fighting off the wedding money sharks ourselves.
Sam and Casey met long before Berkeley and I did and they were engaged before we were so I left her pick date before setting mine. We both wanted fall weddings, and I felt bad springing another wedding on my parents with less than 4 weeks between the two. Looking back, this was the right choice. There is no way I would be able to juggle all of this crazy.
Just planning her bridal shower from a different state is hard enough. We sent out over 50 invitations since there is only one shower being thrown for her. Now it is time to put it all together. I am slowly gathering everyone's ideas to come up with an awesome bridal shower for her. Next Wednesday check out to see a sneak peek at her day! Then come back two weeks from now to see the final result!
Do enjoy playing shower/party games? If so, What is your favorite?
