Soy Honey Glazed Chicken Tenderloins

Another mixed and mingled set of recipes to create one of my own. Since we have been so broke lately, we have been buying tenderloins, instead of whole chicken breasts. Instead of spending over $8 for 6 breasts, we spent less than $5 for enough tenderloin for 3 dinners. Here's one of the recipes for a quick and easy dinner.

Soy and Honey Baked Chicken
ingredients
  • 4 chicken tenderloins
  • 3 tbsp chopped onion
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 1/4 c. water
procedure
  1. Add soy sauce, honey and water in a mixing bowl and whisk thoroughly. Add in onion and garlic.
  2. Marinate chicken in the sauce for several hours.
  3. When ready to cook, preheat the oven to 375. Place chicken in a greased baking dish.
  4. Bring marinating sauce sauce to a boil and then simmer for 5 minutes while the oven is preheating. Then pour over the chicken.
  5. Bake for 15 to 25 minutes at 375.
Suggested sides: mixed veggies, mashed potatoes, salad, wild rice.
