Find Your Voice

Starting on Monday, I'll be participating in Find Your Voice, an eight week storytelling workshop created and hosted by Rukristin Papercrafts. And it is 100% free! I am really excited about this workshop and the possibility of using some new techniques. As well as incorporating my own storytelling into my memory keeping projects.

Now some of you may be thinking "But that is what you said last year". And you're right. Last summer, I participated in the Ali Edwards 31 Things class, and while it was a great class for introspection and getting out some tough journaling, it was not as fun as I was hoping a summer workshop would be. So what is selling me on this workshop? Well, for starters, Kristin herself.

"This workshop is about finding your storytelling voice. You are an awesome person with amazing stories, so this summer we're going to work together to find the most genuine and authentic way for you to tell those stories. 
This workshop is for everyone! You definitely don't need to be a scrapbooker or paper-crafter to play along. We'll be telling stories through pictures, photographs, social media, prose, and more. The only thing you need is a willingness to become the author of your own story and the courage to step outside of your comfort zone. "

 The above statement, involvement on their blog, and a pretty active Facebook Group, already give me good vibes that this is going to be more than just scribbling some words about a topic and struggling to find some photos to go along with it.
