December Daily | Week 3 Photos

It has been a long week with snow storms hitting the mountain and both of us working this past week.  I haven't been able to keep up with typing out the stories, but I am overflowing with photos and I am sharing the photos I plan to use. Although I have only been sharing the photos and stories, these posts have been helping me figure out how I am going to put it all together into an album. I am considering either a 6x6 or 6x8 mini album specifically for December Daily while using extra photos in my Project Life album.

Hello There, Handsome! Magazine

Over the summer I was so incredibly honored when Jessica Belshe asked me to contribute to the first issue of her new magazine Hello There, Handsome. It is a printed, full color magazine featuring everything from recipes, gardening, and DIY projects. But this isn't just any homemaker's magazine because Hello There, Handsome features full page Pinups for your viewing pleasure!
As if one issue wasn't awesome enough, Jessica asked me back for the Holiday Issue as well! Three more brand new recipes from our kitchens along side pretty ladies and hilarious anecdotes. The newest issue was released last night and you can find more information and purchase your copy here.

Around Here

October has been an insanely busy month for us. Every week there is another thing added to the "To-Do" list and I feel like I am just barely able to catch my breath before the months are ending. The weather is quickly changing and soon we will be in a new home. I am going to miss my tree lined sunrise (like the one above obscured by lingering smoke) but it will be nice to live in a larger place and save some money by moving to the other side of town.

In the midst of being busy, I have been working through more aspects of my grief. I think I spent a good part of September suppressing so much of what I have been feeling. Everyone else is making strides and I am just back here crying at every little thing. Depression stage of grief? Probably.

The bright side is that we are moving along. We are pushing through. We are embracing good times with the people we love. We are making plans and living life and that is the best thing we can do.

Week in the Life 2013: Weekend Photos

Saturday

Sunday

The weekend was a good low key time. We had a small celebration weekend for my birthday which included good breakfasts and a fancy dinner, some shopping, and a whole lot of relaxing. After all that has been going on in our life, it is nice to be back to a more normal pace.

Week in the Life 2013: Friday Photos

Friday's photos are a little late going up since last night was spent traveling and today is my birthday. We have been pretty busy the last 24 hours. I feel so grounded being home and Friday night I slept to well. I will really enjoy a few days of downtime before we get all geared up for more travel.

Week in the Life 2013: Thursday Photos

For the most part, Thursday was the most like my normal routine. Breakfast, household chores, blogging and a bit of tv, lunch and more chores, dinner and errands, evening wind down and then bed. Berke's dad and I wandered around Target for awhile. It was almost like Flagstaff Target trips with Berke. We both got a kick out of the nerdy little girls dress because it had eyeglasses as the print not just the popular sunglasses shapes (no it is not a hint at anything, just thought it was cute)

I am looking forward to the last few days of this week. A few days of almost normalcy in Flagstaff before we head back out. I am sure when we head to California a lot of the progress I feel like I have made with dealing with my grief will mean nothing. It will be nice to just go back to my tiny apartment in the woods for more than a few days in a row. This summer has been so incredibly surreal and it will be good to feel at home.
