About

about the girl

Hey all, I'm Ashley Marie and I am the 20-something girl behind Your Girl For All Seasonings! After graduating high school in 2005, I packed almost everything I had for my first semester at Northern Arizona University. Although I was born and raised my whole life in Northern California, something made me choose a small university in Arizona. I was approximately 800 miles from home, by myself for the first time and it was glorious.

When I started writing in this space, it was the summer before my senior year of college and I had just moved into the quintessential "first apartment" with my smoke eating, tree cutting, mountain bike racing, croc wearing, God loving, fly fisherman. I was equipped with a cheesy handmade avatar/banner using paint and a single recipe and story for  making Crockpot Pulled Pork and it continued as a place to share the recipes and cooking adventures we were having in our new space together.
Slowly after the first year, this blog has become of a collaborative effort that chronicles our life together. We were I was planning the trip of a lifetime to New York City the week before Christmas 2010. Berkeley was planning on something else! Just one week after a whirlwind weekend NYC trip, during a snow storm, holed up in our rickety crapartment Berkeley surprised me with the best gift ever and asked me to marry him.

Fast forward to 2014, and so much life has happened! I graduated college, we have moved a few times, we got married, and I quit my hourly job. While recipes are still featured (like my ever popular Crockpot BBQ Chicken), we also share restaurant reviews, travel adventures, my various craft projects, and our viewpoints on different topics including our Fire Life. Now I am jumping in with both feet sharing our life as it unfolds in this corner of the internet that is our blog!

Thanks for stopping by, I am so happy to have you here!
